Michael Vizdos is the Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Edvizion, an EdTech SaaS company building modern technology for mission-driven organizations. He is also Managing Director of Vizdos Enterprises, LLC, and a Strategic Advisor to Blueprint Education, a school district in Phoenix, Arizona.
Michael has spent over 35 years helping teams and executives deliver real results — first as a systems engineer and technical leader, then as one of the original Certified Scrum Trainers® (CST) recognized by the Scrum Alliance, a founding member of the organization since 2004. Since 2006 he has certified 4,900+ Scrum Masters and Product Owners from about 1,500 organizations, from startups to Fortune 10 enterprises, K-12 schools and universities, and the U.S. military. He has spoken at 50+ conferences, including keynotes in Tel Aviv and Costa Rica and the opening keynote at Innovate Virginia.
His work today centers on a simple idea: true agility is a leadership commitment, not a team-level process. He helps executives align their "First Team" to move beyond "process theater" and deliver measurable results.

Michael Vizdos is the Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Edvizion, a modern SaaS platform he's building from the ground up to solve real operational challenges for mission-driven organizations. He is also Managing Director of Vizdos Enterprises, LLC, and a Strategic Advisor to Blueprint Education, where he works directly with school district leadership on organizational alignment and agile-inspired change.
Michael's career spans more than 35 years — from early enterprise systems work with clients like General Motors and IBM, to co-authoring Enterprise Unified Process: Extending the Rational Unified Process with Scott Ambler and John Nalbone, to becoming one of the original Certified Scrum Trainers® (CST) recognized by the Scrum Alliance. A Certified ScrumMaster (CSM, license #72 — one of the first 75 ever issued) and founding member of the organization since January 2004, he became a CST in 2006, when fewer than 25 existed worldwide. From 2006 to 2024 he certified 4,900+ Scrum Masters and Product Owners from about 1,500 organizations, including Capital One, Boeing, Intel, GE, Samsung, IBM, CarMax and McKinsey, from startups to Fortune 10 enterprises, K-12 schools and universities, non-profits, and the U.S. military. Ken Schwaber, co-creator of Scrum, named him among the early Scrum training pioneers in 2013.
His Scrum Alliance certifications: CST, CSM, CSPO, CSP-ScrumMaster, CSP-Product Owner, CSD, Certified Agile Leadership (CAL I) and Certified Agile Leadership K-12. The two CAL credentials are no longer offered to new applicants.
From 2017 to 2025, Michael served as Scrum Master In Residence at Virginia Commonwealth University's da Vinci Center, bringing Agile and Scrum practices to graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and staff. He also created ScrumInSchool.org, bringing agile ideas into K-12 classrooms. That same "agile in education" thread runs directly into Edvizion's mission today. He is currently a subject matter expert on four courses Scrum Alliance offers jointly with a major university.
Michael is the creator of ImplementingScrum.com and the original "Scrum Chicken and Pig" cartoon series, curator of the Online Interactive Scrum Guide and Scrum Guide Audio Book, and host of the Implementing Scrum: Unscripted podcast.
His central message, wherever he's speaking: true organizational agility is a leadership-level commitment, not a team-level process — and most transformations stall because of a misaligned C-suite, not an under-trained team.
Michael has spoken at 50+ conferences, including keynotes in Tel Aviv and Costa Rica, the opening keynote at Innovate Virginia, and a 2026 keynote on academic integrity for an association of Maryland's state college testing centers.
